Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Scientist Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our data science and engineering teams to analyze large datasets, develop models, and provide actionable insights that drive decision-making. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to apply your analytical skills in a real-world setting and contribute to impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets from various sources.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Develop, test, and validate machine learning models to address business challenges.
  • Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align data science solutions accordingly.
  • Document processes, workflows, and methodologies for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and tools in data science and machine learning.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or another programming language commonly used in data science.
  • Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases.
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication skills to present findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Prior experience with big data tools and frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
  • Coursework or projects related to artificial intelligence or deep learning.
