Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Computer Science Engineer to design, develop, and optimize software systems that support mission-critical aerospace operations. This role requires a strong foundation in computer science principles, software engineering practices, and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software solutions for mission-critical systems, including simulation, data analysis, and real-time processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
- Implement algorithms and data structures to solve complex engineering challenges.
- Test, debug, and optimize software to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Work with cloud platforms and distributed systems to build scalable and secure solutions.
- Maintain documentation for software systems, including design specifications and user manuals.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices to contribute to continuous innovation.
- Support the integration of software with hardware systems and collaborate on systems engineering tasks.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in at least two languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java, or similar).
- Experience with software development tools and methodologies, including Agile practices.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and computer architecture.
- Proficiency in working with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and data storage systems.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization tools like Docker.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace, robotics, or similar industries.
- Familiarity with embedded systems or real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure software development.
- Proficiency in developing APIs and integrating third-party systems.
- Experience with machine learning or AI technologies is a plus.
