Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to manage and oversee contracts with our vendors, partners, and clients. The ideal candidate will ensure all agreements align with legal standards, organizational policies, and our commitment to fostering innovation. As a remote employee, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to revolutionizing the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor agreements, government contracts, and client service agreements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations relevant to aerospace operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, procurement, engineering, and finance, to ensure alignment on contractual terms.
- Identify and mitigate risks within contracts, proposing revisions where necessary to protect the company’s interests.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all contractual agreements.
- Monitor contract lifecycles, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Serve as a liaison between Chimera Rocket Labs and external stakeholders for contract-related matters.
- Advise leadership on potential contractual risks and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Contract Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in contract management or a similar role, preferably in aerospace or a technical field.
- Strong understanding of contract law, procurement practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, maintaining accountability and meeting deadlines.
- Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or similar certification is a plus.
