We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support the development of precision control systems for our aerospace applications. Position Overview:
As a Controls Engineer, you will design, implement, and optimize control systems for aerospace propulsion, flight dynamics, and robotic applications. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop algorithms, model dynamic systems, and ensure high-performance control strategies that enhance system stability, efficiency, and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement control algorithms for aerospace applications, including propulsion systems, flight controls, and robotic systems.
- Model, simulate, and analyze dynamic systems using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or Python.
- Develop and tune PID, state-space, and advanced model-based control strategies.
- Integrate control software with hardware systems and conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
- Analyze sensor and actuator data to improve system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Perform real-time system diagnostics and troubleshooting to optimize performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including control system architectures, test reports, and validation procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in control theory, automation, and aerospace technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong background in control systems theory, including classical and modern control techniques.
- Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or C++.
- Experience with real-time control implementation and embedded systems.
- Knowledge of sensors, actuators, and feedback systems used in aerospace and robotics.
- Familiarity with software development for control applications, including real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with aerospace propulsion systems or flight control systems.
- Knowledge of adaptive control, machine learning for control, or advanced optimization techniques.
- Experience with FPGA or microcontroller-based control systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations for aerospace applications.
