Position Overview:
As a Data Analyst at Chimera Rocket Labs, you will play a key role in analyzing complex datasets, generating actionable insights, and contributing to the success of our aerospace projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven strategies are employed in all aspects of the business, from engineering and operations to finance and customer success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to provide actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Conduct statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in large datasets.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to define data requirements and improve processes.
- Support the development of predictive models to forecast performance and optimize outcomes.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices in data management.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in ad hoc data analysis and reporting needs for projects and leadership.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest tools, techniques, and industry trends in data analytics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in a data analysis or related role, preferably in a technical or engineering-driven organization.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the aerospace or technology industry.
- Knowledge of big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with predictive analytics and simulation modeling.
- Certification in data analytics or related fields (e.g., Google Data Analytics, AWS Data Analytics Specialty).
