We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our remote team and help optimize and manage the development and deployment pipelines that power our aerospace systems.
Position Overview:
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the automation, deployment, and management of our cloud-based infrastructure and software delivery pipelines. This role will involve working with both development and operations teams to improve software quality, reliability, and security while ensuring our systems scale efficiently to meet the demands of our growing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development and deployment process.
- Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline software releases, ensuring seamless integration and deployment.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure that best practices in security and compliance are maintained across all infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Automate routine tasks to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Manage version control, configuration management, and deployment automation tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible).
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the infrastructure meets the needs of ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new tools, providing recommendations for continuous improvement of DevOps processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, ideally in the aerospace, high-tech, or cloud computing sectors.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).
- Strong understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or Ruby) for automation and process improvement.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and improve performance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a remote, distributed environment.
