Position Overview:
The Pega Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Pega applications to improve the company’s operations and streamline business processes. This role requires a deep understanding of the Pega platform, including building business workflows, case management, and integrating Pega applications with other systems. The ideal candidate will be skilled in Pega development and passionate about working on mission-critical applications in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Pega applications to streamline business processes and improve system efficiency.
- Implement case management, workflows, and business rules within Pega to automate operations and drive productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and system architects, to gather requirements and ensure solutions align with business needs.
- Integrate Pega applications with other enterprise systems and external APIs to improve data flow and system interoperability.
- Develop and maintain custom components and extensions within the Pega platform, ensuring high-performance and scalable solutions.
- Perform system configuration, unit testing, and quality assurance to ensure that applications meet functional and performance requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Pega applications and provide ongoing maintenance and support.
- Collaborate with the testing and QA teams to ensure seamless deployments and continuous improvements.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring that development best practices and Pega standards are followed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Pega features, tools, and best practices, applying new knowledge to improve the company’s applications and processes.
- Document system configurations, development processes, and workflows for knowledge sharing and training purposes.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Pega development, including hands-on experience with Pega applications, workflows, and case management.
- In-depth knowledge of the Pega platform, including Pega PRPC, Pega Decisioning, and Pega BPM.
- Experience with Pega 7.x or Pega 8.x platforms, including design, implementation, and deployment.
- Familiarity with Pega integration techniques, including SOAP, REST APIs, and external system integrations.
- Proficiency in Pega-specific languages such as Pega Rules Process Commander (PRPC) and Pega BPM.
- Strong understanding of database concepts and SQL for querying and managing application data.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Pega applications for performance and reliability.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a collaborative, remote development environment.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
- A strong problem-solving mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Pega certifications such as Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) or Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) are a plus.
