Position Overview:

As a Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the performance of propulsion systems, flight dynamics, and structural components. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop analytical models, conduct simulations, and validate performance metrics to enhance overall system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute performance analysis models for propulsion, aerodynamics, and structural systems.
  • Conduct simulations using computational tools such as MATLAB, Python, ANSYS, or CFD software.
  • Analyze test data to validate system performance and recommend optimizations.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and develop solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Work closely with design, controls, and software teams to ensure system-level performance objectives are met.
  • Support system verification and validation efforts, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation on performance assessments and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements in aerospace performance engineering and apply best practices to enhance system capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong background in system performance analysis, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, or aerodynamics.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Python, ANSYS, or CFD software.
  • Experience analyzing propulsion systems, spacecraft, or high-performance engineering systems.
  • Knowledge of data processing techniques and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable engineering improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with rocket propulsion system analysis.
  • Familiarity with real-time telemetry data processing and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with flight or propulsion system testing.
  • Knowledge of optimization algorithms and machine learning for performance enhancement.
