We are seeking a Process Engineer to optimize and improve manufacturing, testing, and operational processes for our aerospace components. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking space projects from anywhere in the world.

Position Overview:

As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in streamlining production workflows, improving efficiency, and ensuring quality control in the manufacturing and testing of aerospace systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop process improvements that enhance performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes for aerospace components.
  • Develop process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve production throughput and reduce costs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve process deviations.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure process reliability.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor process performance and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Support new product introduction by designing scalable and efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Stay updated on advancements in process engineering and apply best practices to aerospace applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of process engineering principles, manufacturing techniques, and quality control.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and data analysis software (Python, MATLAB, or Excel).
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing techniques, including CNC machining, additive manufacturing, and composite fabrication.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex processes.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a distributed team.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the aerospace, spaceflight, or defense industries.
  • Hands-on experience with propulsion systems, rocket structures, or avionics manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100, NASA specifications, or ISO 9001.
  • Knowledge of automation, robotics, and digital manufacturing technologies.
