As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage our supply chain and procurement processes, ensuring that we acquire high-quality materials, components, and services essential for our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the procurement of aerospace materials, components, and equipment to support Chimera Rocket Labs’ projects.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Source, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors to secure cost-effective agreements.
- Manage purchase orders, invoices, and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Monitor and assess supplier performance, ensuring quality standards and on-time deliveries.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and logistics teams to meet project requirements.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, materials, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations, export control laws, and company policies.
- Utilize procurement software and ERP systems to track and manage procurement activities efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing, preferably in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, logistics, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
- Ability to analyze cost, pricing trends, and supplier capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing procurement.
- Knowledge of ITAR, FAR/DFARS, and other government regulations related to procurement.
- Certification in CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or APICS.
