Job Summary

As a Project Engineer Intern, you will assist in the coordination, planning, and execution of aerospace projects, ensuring smooth communication between engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders. You will gain exposure to technical project management, scheduling, budgeting, and risk assessment, helping to drive project success in a highly dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of aerospace projects, ensuring alignment with technical and business goals.
  • Support project scheduling, milestone tracking, and resource allocation using tools like Microsoft Project or Jira.
  • Work with engineering teams to document design requirements, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Help manage supplier coordination, procurement tracking, and material logistics for project needs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Support budget tracking and cost analysis to optimize project efficiency.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with aerospace, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure smooth project integration.
  • Participate in project review meetings, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and aerospace systems.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or similar).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
  • Passion for space exploration and advanced engineering projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with technical documentation, budgeting, and scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of aerospace project lifecycles and engineering processes.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA) or simulation tools.
  • Previous experience in engineering internships, capstone projects, or student aerospace organizations.
