This individual will be key in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet all performance and safety standards.

Position Overview:
The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of aerospace projects. You will work closely with engineering, design, and other departments to define project goals, set timelines, and monitor progress. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex technical projects, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for space technology. You will be responsible for making sure that project goals are met and that projects stay on track through strong leadership and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple aerospace projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, resources, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between engineering, design, procurement, and other departments.
  • Monitor and track project progress, adjusting plans and schedules as needed to meet objectives.
  • Identify potential project risks and issues and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide leadership to project teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, motivating team members, and resolving any conflicts or roadblocks.
  • Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, discuss challenges, and ensure alignment with stakeholders.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet all quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, reports, timelines, and post-project analysis.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective project execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and managing expectations.
  • Facilitate the handoff of completed projects to relevant teams for continued development or deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in aerospace, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage project budgets and resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and align teams across various functions.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to handle project risks, issues, and challenges.
  • Familiarity with aerospace regulations and industry standards is a plus.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • A passion for space exploration and technology and the desire to be part of groundbreaking aerospace projects.
