Position Overview:
The Proposal Writer will be responsible for creating compelling and persuasive proposals to secure funding, partnerships, and contracts for Chimera Rocket Labs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to craft tailored responses that align with client or grant requirements while showcasing our expertise and innovation in aerospace technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze RFPs (Requests for Proposals), RFIs (Requests for Information), and grant opportunities to identify alignment with Chimera Rocket Labs’ capabilities and goals.
- Develop, write, and edit high-quality proposals, including technical content, executive summaries, and pricing narratives.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, finance, and marketing, to gather necessary information and ensure proposals are accurate and comprehensive.
- Tailor proposals to meet specific client or grant requirements, highlighting the unique value of Chimera Rocket Labs’ offerings.
- Ensure all proposals comply with submission guidelines, formatting, and deadlines.
- Maintain a repository of reusable content and templates for future proposals.
- Support post-submission activities, such as client presentations and clarifications.
- Continuously refine the proposal development process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in proposal writing, preferably in a technical or aerospace environment.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and private sector proposal processes, including FAR/DFARS regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management tools.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and compelling language.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
