Position Overview:
The Validation Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing validation processes to ensure that aerospace systems, components, and software meet stringent specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and validate tests that ensure the success and reliability of our innovative technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement validation plans, protocols, and reports for aerospace systems, components, and software.
- Conduct rigorous testing of hardware and software systems, including environmental, functional, and stress tests.
- Analyze test data and results, identifying any anomalies and working with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Design, implement, and execute automated and manual test procedures to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure that validation criteria align with design requirements.
- Ensure that all validation processes comply with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, DO-178C).
- Prepare detailed validation documentation, including test plans, protocols, and final reports for stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing enhancements to validation processes and procedures.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for any issues encountered during validation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., hardware, software, systems engineering) to ensure all systems are validated and meet performance criteria.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in validation, testing, or quality assurance, ideally in the aerospace or high-tech industries.
- Strong knowledge of validation methodologies, tools, and best practices for aerospace systems and components.
- Experience with validation of both hardware and software systems in complex environments.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, DO-178C, MIL-STD).
- Proficiency in test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, environmental test chambers).
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create clear and detailed documentation and collaborate effectively in a remote team.
