Position Overview:
We are seeking a Vehicle Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain communication networks for our advanced aerospace vehicles. This role involves developing robust, efficient, and secure network systems to ensure seamless communication between onboard systems and ground operations. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a deep understanding of network protocols, real-time data handling, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop vehicle network architectures for real-time communication in aerospace systems.
  • Implement and configure communication protocols, such as CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and UDP, for vehicle systems.
  • Develop tools and software for network testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate network systems with hardware, software, and telemetry.
  • Perform network performance analysis and optimize for latency, throughput, and reliability.
  • Identify and resolve network-related issues during design, integration, and testing phases.
  • Ensure network security through encryption, authentication protocols, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Document network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Support system-level testing and validation, including simulations and live tests.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies in vehicle networking and implement innovative solutions to improve system performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of communication protocols, including CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and others.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, or C++ for developing network tools and software.
  • Hands-on experience with network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, CANalyzer).
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure communication practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote and collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or robotics industries.
  • Familiarity with telemetry systems and satellite communication networks.
  • Knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and simulation tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms for data streaming and storage.
  • Certification in networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) is a plus.
